Lavo Lounge & Nightclub

July 15, 2017

Lavo NYC offers the perfect place to wine, dine, brunch and then shine on the dance floor as they are known as one of the more exclusive nightclubs in the city. The club has welcomed the likes of the Kardashians, Mariah Carey, Heidi Klum, Tiesto and Marshmello, as well as hosting high-profile events like the Victoria Secret Fashion Show afterparty. What makes this club a must-go is that they throw some of the hottest Saturday boozy brunch parties in town, should you dare to continue the party from Friday night into Saturday afternoon. Throw on your sexiest cocktail dress and stilletos and get ready to dance at the New York sister club of one of Las Vegas trendiest hot spot, Lavo.

The Restaurant

When looking to fulfill a savage appetite and prepare for a long night of dancing, their restaurant serves as the perfect spot for your squad to enjoy heaping portions of classic Italian food. The high gold ceilings, steel frame windows that partition the bar and the dining area mixed with their conventional wooden dining furniture give a chic industrial atmosphere to the traditional Italian dining experience. The menu offers familiar items, such as baked clams, fried calamari, ample pasta options (with gluten-free choices) and prime cuts of steak. If you’re looking for an option without the bells and whistles, they also have 18” pizzas available to share. The desserts are also mammoth in size and will fulfill your sweet tooth cravings with items like their 20 layer chocolate cake. After you’ve satiated your evening’s appetite, you can then head downstairs to the club to start shedding those carbs away.

The Nightclub

Being allowed through the doors is quite simple: you’ve purchased a pre-sale ticket (covers begin at $20+ for women and $30+ for men), understood the magic ratio of a high ladies to gentlemen ratio with your crew or will be doing VIP table service. As for the Lavo dress code, while not specified on their website, imagine that you belong to a crowd that is a higher-end mixture of corporate Wall Street professionals, beautiful models and well-dressed socialites (we can safely say no athletic gear of any kind allowed). The layout of Lavo nightclub exudes a posh vibe, welcoming you with its eloquent decor of crystal globe chandeliers, cushioned columns, ceiling and banquettes, ceiling LED screens and a blend of custom-cut metal railings with wooden panels throughout the space. The center of the venue welcomes you to a sunken dance floor, where you can dance till the morning to top 40s, EDM and progressive techno.

Party Brunch Saturdays

Surprisingly, one of the hottest club experiences does not take place at night, but rather in the afternoon right at Lavo. Reservations begin with a $300 table minimum for two guests. Their champagne brunch party takes place on Saturdays from 2-6PM and offers all the traditional brunch fixings beginning at 2PM. When the clock strikes 3:30PM, tables and chairs start to clear out, a live DJ starts playing EDM, top 40s and house music and gorgeous dancers start the party. At this point, debauchery commences and you are welcome to get up on your chairs and tables and start dancing. Since Lavo has another location in Las Vegas, upholding it’s must-go reputation by knowing the formula behind a good party, you’ll get a taste of Sin City right here in New York when you join them for their Lavo brunch.

Riviera Sundays

If you want an intensely good time that isn’t just your run-of-the-mill dance club, one of the hottest parties of the week falls on a Sunday at the Lavo lounge. Their Riviera Sunday parties are masquerade-style, with themes ranging from the circus to Rocky Horror Show. On Sundays, the entertainment doesn’t just stop at the DJ. Whatever the theme is for the evening, you’ll get to see live dancers, models and staff donning the costumes and makeup down to the tee, as well as entertaining you throughout the night. The mind behind Riviera Sundays comes from the well-known industry club owner behind Pink Elephant and Boom, Rocco Ancarola. If you’re up a hearty dinner and an unforgettably fun night, put your reservations in for Riviera Sunday at Lavo New York.
